Several years ago, I drew a Christmas-themed Pokémon picture called "A Choju (Mahogany) Town Christmas" (this was back when Gold and Silver were just released and there weren't any English names). I remember that it had several activities going on, including an Articuno flying, an Ampharos building a snow Lapras, a Delibird setting presents next to a tree, and I'm pretty sure others. I eventually lost the picture in a computer crash, so I wanted to recreate it for the Flavor of the Month at Fizzy Bubbles...
...but couldn't because of time constraints, so I just did something similar. 'Cuno, the tree, and the snow Lappy made it back, though, with some revisions since the previous pic:
=The Lapras in the first pic had more detail to it, but this time I thought that simplifying its features would (ironically) make it more realistic, and I added the coal eye and carrot horn.
=Ever since my entry for the "Dream" theme, I realized that I habitually drew the avian Pokémon semi-realistically.

This kinda came out here, so I decided to go ahead and give the 'cuno some downy feet like most Arctic birds.
=Nothing's special about the tree, except I previously never thought about topping it with one of the starfish pokemon.
Throw in a Hoenn face and a reference to "A Christmas Story", and I was set. Time constraints leave this pic a lot to be desired, but it's the best I could throw together under such pressure.
Lickitung, Starmie, snow Lapras, Snorunt, and Articuno were drawn and inked on paper and colored in Photoshop. The pole, tree, background, etc. were all made in Photoshop, and everything was pieced together into a single picture.

Poor Lickitung.
I like how much detail you put into Articuno. The feathers, the beak, it's very nice.
..I wish I could make a Snow Lapras. D:
good pic. love the articuno
